kompas.com, online publication of Kompas newspaper, reported that unification of three time zones (WIB, WITA, and WIT) will result in the institution of WITA (Central Indonesia Time) as the single time zone for Indonesia.

“The unification will boost productivity,” argued Edib Muslim, head of PR and promotion of KP3EI, a committee established to accelerate economic development (MP3EI).
